In 2010 the total number of appointments at the Eden Clinic was 774. We served 98 teens and 169 college age students.
Our statistics revealed:
- 136 pregnancy tests
- 181 ultrasounds (first time and repeats)
- 195 STD testing and treatment
- 58 in Pregnancy Wellness
- 5 post-abortion education
- 26 known live births
- 8 known abortions
- 3 known adoptions
Now, 26 saved babies might not sound like a huge number to you… but it’s like the story of the starfish lying on the seashore. There were so many starfish they covered the entire beach. George felt compassion toward the starfish and began to throw them back into the ocean, one by one. Fred came by and asked George what he was doing. George said, “I’m saving these starfish” as he threw another one back into the ocean. “Hmm,” Fred says, “There’s way too many of them; it’s not going to matter.” George picked up another starfish and as he threw it back into the ocean he said, “It matters to THAT ONE.”
